| The forest covers most of the Motherland. In
the woods live not only animals, insects and human beings but also the spirits. Some of the spirits are manifested in the elements such as thunder and wind or incarnate in animal forms. They are not animals. They are spirits appointed by the gods or the demons to act according to their mission. Once the spirit has completed it's mission, the spirit hides in the wood of the tree. One of Bill Bouchard's challenges in his lifetime of carving is to uncover these spirits and let their forms be seen by mankind. |
